Structural Beams and Column components are produced under factory conditions and as a result they are not only considered stronger and more consistent than site poured members but also ‘fit’ better and more accurate.
Work on the precasting of the super structure takes place at the plant, simultaneously as the foundation works progess on site. Precast components then arrive on site and are quickly erected and plummed. Caulking and grouting of the components with minor insitu concrete work then follows. Structures are usually finished in half the time it would take using traditional methods.
This system combines well with precast walls and floors and roof planks to provide a totally precast system that is ideal for offices, schools and correctional facilities. Total precast systems have tremendous advantage over other methods of construction.
Structural Precast Walls combine beauty, versatility, economy and efficiency for hotels, apartments, condominiums, dormitories or correctional facilities. These load bearing walls and crosswalls create compartmentalized systems that achieve high fire ratings and low noise transmission values while being cost effective. Compared to traditional systems these walls meet and exceed the highest wind speed and seismic zones and are designed to work well with other forms and conventional construction.
Precast walls can also be designed as a wall cladding system with all the superior benefits of concrete and precast.
Precast Marine Bents offer advantages in constructing a jetty that can scarcely be matched. Strong and versatile marine bents can be used together with solid slabs and concrete piles for a fully precast system. Installation is quick and hassle free.
Precast are the way of the future – it is cheaper to construct both in the short and long term because it requires little or no need for maintenance. There is also the added benefit of impact and corrosion resistance.
Solid Slabs are recommended for short span applications less than 30ft (9m). Prestressing allows the slabs to span further than comparably thick cast in place slabs. These slabs may be used either as short span bridges or in Marine/Jetty applications.

Traffic Barriers, originally called Jersey Barriers are road safety products used for highway lane partitions, temporary road closures, lane delineation, traffic rerouting, crowd control and sidewalk detours. Our precast barrier is manufactured under stringent QA/QC practices. The Precast barrier boasts a compressive strength of 30MPA (4300psi) and is faster and safer than slip forming.
When quick solutions are needed, Spancast barriers provide this with minimum disruption to traffic flow. Precast traffic barriers can be put in place and position for immediate effect. The Spancast barrier is versatile, accommodating striped direction painted signs for high visibility, alerting drivers to safety hazards ahead.

Spancast’s Concrete Parking Bumpers or Wheel Stops as some would refer to it, are manufactured with 100% local component inputs and are more feasible than the imported polypropylene alternative. They have a minimum concrete strength of 30MPA, while being aesthetically pleasing whether painted or unpainted. The units are easy to install and connected via doweling or construction adhesive.
